FOOTWAY AT THE OLD POST OFFICE (FORMERLY 1 RUSHTON COTTAGE), SUGAR STREET, RUSHTON SPENCER, NEAR MACCLESFIELD

The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Staffordshire) (No 3) Order 2002” authorising the stopping-up of a length of footway at the Old Post Office (formerlly 1 Rushton Cottage), Sugar Street, Rushton Spencer, near Macclesfield.
The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council on 10 October 2000 under Ref 00/00831/FUL.
Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands at the offices of the Director, Local Government Division, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT (quoting Ref WMT/5074/35/1/128) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek ST13 6HQ.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 20 March 2002, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
