NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF REVISED PROPOSALS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
THE TAMESIDE UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, have revised the proposals for the replacement of the above plan. If, and when, these revised proposals are adopted they will form the development plan for the area of Tameside Metropolitan Borough. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning matters affecting that area. Copies of the revised proposals are available for public inspection at the Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, free of charge, from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm on Mondays to Wednesdays, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Thursdays and 8.30 am to 4.00 pm on Fridays. They are also available at each of the customer service centres and public libraries as listed below, during the normal opening times for these premises: Customer Service Centres : Town Hall, Market Street, Denton Concord Suite, Manchester Road, Droylsden Library, Concord Way, Dukinfield Town Hall, Market Street, Hyde George Lawton Hall, Stamford Street, Mossley Court House, Market Place, Mottram-in-Longdendale Resource Centre, Waterloo Road, Stalybridge Libraries: Central Reference, Old Street, Ashton-under-Lyne Centre for the Visually Impaired, King Street, Dukinfield Hurst Cross, Ashton-under-Lyne Taunton Road, Waterloo, Ashton-under-Lyne Manchester Road, Audenshaw Peel Street, Denton Mancunian Road, Haughton Green, Denton Windsor Road, Denton Manchester Road, Droylsden Concord Way, Dukinfield Union Street, Hyde Talbot Road, Newton, Hyde Hattersley Road East, Hattersley, Hyde Wyre Street, Mossley Broadbottom Road, Mottram-in-Longdendale Trinity Street, Stalybridge Objections to, and representations in respect of, the revised proposals should be sent in writing to Group Planning Officer (Policy and Plans), Planning and Building Control, Tameside MBC, Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne OL6 6DL, before 4.00 pm, on 26 April 2002. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specifed address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Objections may only be made in respect of those parts of the proposals which have been revised since the original proposals were made available on 18 June 2001. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the 6 week period ending 26 April 2002, will have a right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or other hearing. Notice of Intention to Adopt Proposals If no objections to the proposals are received during the period given for making objections, Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
