NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Anglian Water Services Limited of Endurance House, Chivers Way, Histon, Cambridgeshire CB4 9ZR, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence 4/30/12/G/218 to abstract water from two boreholes in the Lincolnshire Limestone at TF 1438 3037, in the parish of Pointon and Semperingham and at TF 1473 2806, in the parish of Rippingale, both being in the district of South Kesteven in the county of Lincolnshire. The proposal is to renew abstraction at the following rates: 1,087 cubic metres per hour, 26,000 cubic metres per day (with not more than 13,000 cubic metres per day from either source) and 6,000,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for public water supply. These currently licensed quantities will otherwise reduce on 31 December 2002. A copy of the application and any maps and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at the address given above and at Rippingale Post Office, 5 Middle Street, Rippingale, Bourne, Lincolnshire, between 1 March 2002 and 31 March 2002.
