NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF PROPOSALS FOR THE REPLACEMENT LOCAL PLAN
SOUTH SHROPSHIRE LOCAL PLAN 1996-2011

South Shropshire District Council have prepared proposals for the replacement of the above Plan. If and when these Plan proposals are adopted they will form part of the Development Plan for South Shropshire. The Development Plan forms the basis for decisions on landuse planning affecting that area. Copies of the proposals are available for public inspection at: (a) South Shropshire District Council Offices, Stone House, Corve Street, Ludlow, Shropshire, Monday to Thursday, 8.40 am to 5.15 pm; and Fridays, 8.40 am to 4.30 pm. (b) Bishop’s Castle Library, Enterprise House, Station Street, Bishop’s Castle SY9 5AQ, Tuesday and Friday 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm and 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. (c) Church Stretton Library, Church Street, Church Stretton, Tuesday 9.30 am to 7.30 pm, Thursday and Friday 9.30 am to 5.00 pm and Saturday 9.30 am to 4.00 pm. (d) Cleobury Mortimer Library, 2 Lower Street, Cleobury Mortimer, Monday 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm and 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm, Wednesday 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm. (e) Craven Arms Library, School Road, Craven Arms, Tuesday and Friday 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm and 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm, and Wednesday 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. (f) Ludlow Library, 10 Old Street, Ludlow, Shropshire, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.30 am to 5.00 pm, Friday 9.30 am to 7.30 pm and Saturday 9.30 am to 4.00 pm. Objections to and representations in respect of the proposals should be sent, in writing, to the Director of Environment and Development, South Shropshire District Council, Stone House, Corve Street, Ludlow, Shropshire SY8 1DG, before 13 April 2002. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and sent to the address specified above within the 6 week period ending on 12 April 2002, will have a right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or hearing. Notice of intention to adopt proposals If no objections are received during the period given for making objections, South Shropshire District Council intends to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
