NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF THE FIRST DEPOSIT DRAFT
BRAINTREE DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN REVIEW

Braintree District Council has prepared the First Deposit Draft of the Braintree District Local Plan Review. If and when this plan is adopted it will form part of the development plan for the area of Braintree District. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use affecting that area. Copies of the plan are available for public inspection, free of charge, at: Braintree District Council Offices, Causeway House, Braintree; Braintree District Council Witham Area Office, Newland Street, Witham; Braintree District Council Halstead Area Office, Trinity Street, Halstead; and Public libraries throughout the District, from 10 January 2002 until 21 February 2002 during normal opening hours. Objections to, and representations in respect of the plan should be sent in writing, on forms obtainable from the Council, to Peter Crofts, Head of Planning Services, Braintree District Council, Causeway House, Braintree CM7 9HB, by 21 February 2002. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the plan. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the 6-week period ending 21 February 2002 will have the right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or other hearing.
