NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Breken Farms of North Riding, 1 Chapel Street, Yaxley, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire PE7 3LN, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Whittlesey Dyke between TL 297 955 and TL 308 955, Bevills Leam between TL 300 949 and TL 308 955, Whittlesey parish, drains of the Whittlesey IDB between TL 237 942 and TL 233 936, TL 226 946 and TL 227 945, TL 217 935 and TL 220 932, TL 220 932 and TL 218 930, TL 210 929 and TL 211 928, TL 211 928 and TL 209 926, TL 231 936 and TL 233 935, TL 234 935 and TL 249 925, TL 243 930 and TL 240 929, TL 247 927 and TL 243 925, TL 232 923 and TL 228 921, Farcet parish, TL 198 930 and TL 211 913, TL 211 913 and TL 207 910, Pig Water between TL 202 936 and TL 195 925, Conquest Lode between TL 201 934 and TL 217 919, Black Ham between TL 217 919 and TL 208 908, Yaxley Lode between TL 189 920 and TL 195 915, Yards End Dyke between TL 185 919 and TL 189 920, TL 175 910 and TL 177 912, TL 179 913 and TL 181 915, drains of the Yaxley IDB between TL 192 917 and TL 179 904, TL 183 909 and TL 186 906, TL 180 906 and TL 179 907, TL 192 910 and TL 195 907, TL 192 905 and TL 188 902, at TL 185 914, TL 182 910 and TL 189 908, Yaxley parish, NorthWestern Cut between TL 217 918 and TL 227 916, drains in area of Holmewood and Stilton IDB between TL 205 897 and TL 212 900, TL 216 900 and TL 226 902, Holme parish, Fenland and Huntingdonshire districts, Cambridgeshire. The proposal is to abstract water at 180 cubic metres per hour, 3,960 cubic metres per day and up to 81,800 cubic metres between April and October each year for spray irrigation purposes. There will be compensatory discharges into Kings Dyke at TL 237 967 from Must Farm Pit at rates of 4,356 cubic metres per day and up to 89,980 cubic metres per annum so there will be no demand on summer water resources. This application is for a licence to replace the licence serial number 6/33/53/S/613 which expired on 30th September 2000. A copy of the application and any map, plan or other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at 1 Chapel Street, Yaxley, or 132 Ramsey Road, Whittlesey, between 27th January 2001 and 24th February 2001.
