NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that W. R. B. Foster and Partners, of the Estate Office, Lexham Hall, Litcham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from underground strata (chalk) at National Grid Reference TF 8736 1774, at Hall Farm, Litcham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 109.1 cubic metres per hour, 2,400 cubic metres per day, 136,400 cubic metres per year (between 1st April and 30th September each year). The water will be used for spray irrigation. This is a renewal of an existing licence which expired on 30th September 2000. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Estate Office, Lexham Hall, Litcham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, between 24th January 2001 and 26th February 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE18 8NE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
