THE FAIR’S ACT 1873 (36 AND 37 VICT. C.37)
NORTHALLERTON MAY FAIR (HAMBLETON DISTRICT COUNCIL)

The Secretary of State for the Home Department hereby gives notice that on 16th August 2000, representation was duly made to him by Hambleton District Council, being the owners of the Northallerton May Fair, that it would be for the convenience and advantage of the public that the fair, which is held from 6 p.m. on the Thursday before the early May Bank Holiday and continuing for the following three days (exclusive of Sunday) and no longer, shall instead be held each year from 6 p.m. on the Thursday before the early May Bank Holiday and continue for the following four days (including Sunday) and no longer, at the following times: Thursday from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight, Friday from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 midnight, and Monday from 1 p.m. to 12 midnight, and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
On 19th February 2001, the Secretary of State will take the representations into consideration.
Any representations as to the alteration of the dates on which the Fair is held should be made in writing to Steve Lusted, Home Office, Room 1180A, 50 Queen Anne’s Gate, London SW1H 9AT, to be received before 16th February 2001.
