STOPPING-UP OF A HIGHWAY

Notice is hereby given that Hartlepool Borough Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on Tuesday, 13th March 2001 at 2.15 p.m. for an Order pursuant to section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 that those lengths of highway referred to in the Schedule hereto be stopped up on the ground that they are unnecessary. A copy of a plan (drawing no. M49.859) showing those parts of the highway to be stopped up may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours at the Legal Division of the Chief Executive’s Department, Civic Centre, Victoria Road, Hartlepool. Schedule West View Road The following length of highway: The highway (cul-de-sac) to be stopped up is located on the Northern side of West View Road and starts approximately 5.5 metres from the bus shelter. The highway then travels in a north-easterly direction for approximately 41 metres. The width of the highway varies from 6.5 metres to 9.5 metres approximately. 19th January 2001.
