THE A606 TRUNK ROAD (A52 TO A46) (DETRUNKING) ORDER 200

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make the following Order: An Order under sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980 which will provide that the length of the A606 Trunk Road, between its junction with the A52 Trunk Road at Tollerton roundabout, south of Nottingham and its junction with the A46 Trunk Road at Widmerpool, shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a principal road as from the date on which the Order comes into force. Copies of the draft Order and the plans referred to in it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at the Highways Agency, St. Christopher House, Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE; at the offices of the Director, Network and Customer Services (Midlands), the Highways Agency, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL; and at the offices of the Chief Executive, Nottinghamshire County Council, County Hall, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 7QP. Any person may object to the making of this Order not later than 8th March 2001, or within 6 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, by notice to the Secretary of State at the offices of the Director, Network and Customer Services (Midlands), the Highways Agency, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL, quoting Ref. HA 008/001/000048 and stating the grounds of objection. In the preparation of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection, it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
