INTRODUCTION OR AMENDMENT OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CARLISLE WAY, FAYLAND AVENUE, HEATHFIELD ROAD AND WILDCROFT ROAD, INTRODUCTION OF SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR MARKINGS IN GIDEON ROAD AND REMOVAL OF TAXI RANK IN LACY ROAD AND OF A PARKING BAY IN CHESTERTON CLOSE

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth on 23rd January 2001, made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general effect of the Waiting Restriction Order will be to: (i) introduce new waiting restrictions operating between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive in part of Fayland Road; (ii) introduce new waiting restrictions operating between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive in part of Wildcroft Road; (iii) introduce new waiting restrictions operating at any time in Carlisle Way; and (iv) reduce the extent of the existing waiting restrictions operating between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive in part of Heathfield Road at the junction with Magdalen Road. The effect of the Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Order will be to introduce a School Keep Clear restriction in Gideon Road outside Elsley School. The general effect of the Cab Ranks Revocation Order and the Disabled Persons Order will be to remove a taxi rank and amend a disabled persons parking place in Lacy Road. The general effect of the Putney Parking Places Order will be to remove a parking place in Chesterton Close and amend a shared use parking place in Lacy Road. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 29th January 2001, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made in The Concourse, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from Engineering Services, Department of Technical Services at the address given below (telephone 020-8871 6660). Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
