NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Frogwell Farm Ltd., Frogwell Farm, Skilgate, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from (i) the Ben Brook at National Grid Reference SS 9727 2792, and (ii) from underground strata within the Pickwell Down Beds at National Grid Reference SS 9724 2790 at Frogwell Farm.
The proposal is to abstract water in aggregate at the following rates: (a) 6.13 cubic metres per day, 2,237 cubic metres per year and (b) 61.3 cubic metres per day, 22,374 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for: (a) agricultural use and (b) powering a hydraulic ram.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Frogwell Farm between 29th January and 3rd March 2001.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Devon Area Water Resource Licensing, Exminster House, Miller Way, Exminster, Devon EX6 8AS, before the end of the said period.
