PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS (DOUBLE YELLOW LINES) IN HELIX ROAD

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth propose to make The Lambeth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No.  ) Order 2001, under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. In brief, the general nature and effect of the Order would be to prohibit waiting by vehicles at any time on both sides of Helix Road between the common boundary of Nos. 39 and 41 Helix Road and a point 2.5 metres south of the common boundary of Nos. 45 and 47 Helix Road (exemptions would apply for vehicles waiting for loading and unloading purposes, subject to certain conditions and time limits). The prohibition is necessary to prevent parking which is causing an obstruction and creating a safety hazard. If you have any enquiries about this matter, please telephone the Council’s Transportation and Highways Group on 020-7926 2620, during office hours. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Order are available for inspection, until the last day of a period of 6 weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made, or as the case may be the Council decides not to make the Order, at the offices of the Transportation and Highways Group, 3rd Floor, Blue Star House, 234-244 Stockwell Road, Brixton, London SW2 9SP, between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Order must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should be sent to Hazel Game, Transportation and Highways Group, 3rd Floor, Blue Star House, 234-244 Stockwell Road, Brixton, London SW2 9SP, by 12th February 2001. Any objection may be communicated to, or be seen by, other persons who may have an interest in this matter. B. Fitzpatrick, Head of Transportation and Highways 19th January 2001.
