HIGHWAY LAND BETWEEN HIGHGATE STREET AND CONYBERE STREET, HIGHGATE TRADING ESTATE, BIRMINGHAM

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order, under section 247 of the above Act, entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (City of Birmingham) (No. 3) Order 2001”, authorising the stopping-up of highways at land between Highgate Street and Conybere Street, Birmingham and requiring the improvement of existing highway shown as cross hatched on the deposited plan. The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Birmingham City Council, on 3rd August 2000, under Ref. C/05485/99/FUL. Copies on this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands at the offices of the Director, Local Government Division, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT (quoting 5104/35/1/161) and may be inspected, at all reasonable hours, at BM3 Architecture Limited, 28 Pickford Street, Birmingham B5 5QH Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 19th January 2001, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
