NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS (ENGLAND AND WALES)

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL WORKS FOR ROAD PURPOSES (SCOTLAND)

Three months advance notice is hereby given that the Highways Agency (Highway Authority/Roads Authority) intends to carry out substantial road works (England and Wales)/substantial works for roads purposes (Scotland). 2. The street/road in which these works will take place is: A48 Lydney. 3. Work is expected to affect the carriageway between: Victoria Road and Church Road. 4. Work is expected to commence on 5th February 2001 (work should begin within one month of this date). 5. The works notified will include the following: (a) Carriageway widening works; (b) Footway and bus lay-by construction works; (c) Carriageway drainage works; (d) Street lighting improvement works; (e) The construction of controlled and uncontrolled pedestrian crossings within the High Street. Note.  All of the above works are in association with the construction of a new Tesco Superstore adjacent to the High Street. 6. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works, or in Scotland road works, may be executed for a period of 12 months from completion of the works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority/Roads Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
