THE HARINGEY (RESTRICTION OF WAITING ON BUS STOPS) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT No. 25) TRAFFIC ORDER 2001

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, hereinafter called the Council, on 18th January 2001, made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general effect of The Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would be to further amend The Haringey (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Order 1994, so that waiting by vehicles would be prohibited along sections of Westbury Avenue, Green Lanes, Langham Road and Carlingford Road. Details of exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the Original Order of 1994. The general effect of The Prohibition of Stopping Outside Cab Ranks would be to further amend The Haringey (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Cab Ranks) (Special Parking Area) Order 1998, so that no vehicle other than a hackney carriage shall wait or stop on the cab rank at any time on a section of Langham Road. The general effect of The Restriction of Waiting on Bus Stops Order would be to further amend The Haringey (Restriction of Waiting on Bus Stops) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Order 1994, so that all vehicles except buses are prohibited from waiting at any time on the bus stop located at a point opposite the boundary wall of 6 and 7 Turnpike Parade southwards for a distance of 19 metres. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 19th January 2001, of the above mentioned Orders of 1994 and 1998 (and Orders which have previously amended those Orders, where applicable), of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and a plan showing the locations and effects of the Order may be inspected during a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, during normal office working hours at Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End, Hornsey, London N.8. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
