INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Blue Circle Cement UK, a subsidiary of Blue Circle Industries PLC, has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention Control (IPPC) permit to operate a cement manufacturing process at Holborough Road, Snodland ME6 5PW, in the borough of Tonbridge and Malling and Medway, in the county of Kent. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the cement manufacturing process is held in registers at the Environment Agency Southern Region, Public Register, Guildbourne House, Chatworth Road, Worthing BN11 1LD, Public Register, Environment Department, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, Gibson Drive, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent ME19 4LZ, and Public Register, Environment Protection Section, Medway Council, Municipal Buildings, Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent ME7 5LA. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above stated addresses during normal office hours. The application can also be inspected by appointment at Blue Circle’s offices, Holborough Road, Snodland ME6 5PW. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency Area Office, Orchard House, Endeavour Park, London Road, Addington, West Malling, Kent ME19 5SH, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representation will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is a such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
