Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council, on 10th January 2001, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be: (a) on the westside of Chippenham Road to shorten a 4 hour metered parking place by 1 metre bay to improve sight lines and on the east side of Chippenham Road to shorten a residents’ parking place, by one vehicle space to provide a disabled persons (white badge) personal parking place; (b) in respect of the residents’ parking place, to provide that the classes of vehicle for which it will be available, the hours during which it will operate and all the time limits during which vehicles may be left in the parking place will remain unchanged. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be further to amend the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1976, so that in the length of street specified in the Schedule to this notice, the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on: (a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) will be changed so that it will apply at any time; (b) waiting by vehicles for more than 20 minutes in the same place for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle will be changed so that it will apply between 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. throughout the week. The Parking Places Order and the Disabled Persons’ Parking Place Order will come into force for the purposes of the placing of traffic signs, etc., on 12th January 2001, and into force for all other purposes on 15th January 2001. The Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will come into force on 15th January 2001. The Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Parkman Ltd., Third Floor, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, until 22nd February 2001. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 22nd February 2001.
