Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley, on 8th January 2001, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to, the Local Government Act 1985 and regulation 21 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 4 to, the Local Authorites’ Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996. The general effect of the Orders will be to postpone the introduction of Sidcup Town Centre and West Sidcup Controlled Parking Zones and the associated changes to Sidcup Station Area Controlled Parking Zone from 15th January 2001 to 15th July 2001. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 12th January 2001, The Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1991 (and the Orders that have amended that Order); The Bexley (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1994 (and the Orders that have amended that Order); The Bexley (Sidcup West) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2000; and The Bexley (Sidcup Town Centre) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2000 together with a plan showing the length of roads to which the Orders relate, and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders can be inspected, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at The Information Centre, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7LB; and Sidcup Library, Hadlow Road, Sidcup, during the normal opening hours of the library. Copies of the Order may be purchased from the Chief Engineer’s Department, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7LB. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
