NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that George Cock Ltd., of Longfield Dyeworks, Linthwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5QF, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 2/27/11/16 and 2/27/11/50, which authorises the abstraction of water from a Springfed Mill Dam and Borehole at National Grid Ref. SE 0925 1419 and SE 0926 1419 at Longfield Dyeworks, Linthwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5QF. The variation being applied for is an increase in the abstraction quantity from 53,326 cubic metres per year, 318 cubic metres per day, 36 cubic metres per hour to 90,000 cubic metres per year, 567 cubic metres per day, 27 cubic metres per hour. (These quantities are in aggregate from both sources.) A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at George Cock Ltd., Longfield Dyeworks, between 10th January 2001 and 6th February 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Ridings Area, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
