NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Brett Aggregates (West) Limited, of St. Pauls House, Warwick Lane, London EC4P 4BN (registered office), is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the gravel stratum at National Grid Ref. TQ 127 672 at Hersham Pit, Molesey, Surrey. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 31 cubic metres per hour; 125 cubic metres per day; 1,720 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for continued use of dust suppression and vehicle wheel washing. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Shepperton Quarry, Littleton Lane, Shepperton, Middlesex TW17 0NF, between 16th January 2001 and 16th February 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about this application should do so in writing to the Water Resources Officer, South East Area, Environment Agency, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Frimley, Camberley, Surrey GU16 7SQ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
