NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

Three months advance notice is hereby given that Kirklees Metropolitan Council—Highways Service intends to carry out substantial road works. 2. The street in which these works will take place is A62 Manchester Road, Linthwaite. 3. Work is expected to affect the carriageway/footway between Church Avenue and Cowlersley Lane. 4. Work is expected to commence on 28th March 2001 (works should begin within one month of this date). 5. The works notified will include the following: Plane channels, overlay carriageway with a proprietary surfacing material, adjust ironwork as required. 6. Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from completion of works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably witheld.
