GLOUCESTER SQUARE, STANHOPE TERRACE, STRATHEARN PLACE AND SUSSEX PLACE

Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Concil propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would be to further amend the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1976, so that in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this notice, the hours during which the existing prohibition applies to: (a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be changed so that it would apply at any time; (b) waiting by vehicles for more than 20 minutes in the same place for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle would be changed so that it would apply between 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. throughout the week. The general effect of the Parking Place Order would be to relocate a 2-hour meter parking place on the south-west side of Sussex Place in the City of Westminster. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, are available for inspection, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Parkman Ltd., Third Floor, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decide not to make the Orders. Any objections or other representations about either of the proposed Orders should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, Parkman Ltd., Third Floor, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, quoting Ref. 29359/WES1844/ORD/2465/JP, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published. Schedule Gloucester Square, the south-west arm, between the northern kerb-line of Strathearn Place and a point 14 metres north of that kerb-line; Stanhope Terrace, between the south-western kerb-line of Sussex Place and a point 13 metres south-west of that kerb-line; Strathearn Place, (a) the north side, from its junction with Sussex Place and a point 9.4 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Gloucester Square; (b) the south side, from the north-eastern kerb-line of Sussex Place and a point 12.4 metres east of that kerb-line; Sussex Place, (a) the north-east side, between a point 10 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Stanhope Terrace and a point 11.4 metres south-east of the southern kerb-line of Strathearn Place; (b) the south-west side, between a point 10 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Stanhope Terrace and a point 4.4 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Stanhope Terrace. 4th January 2001.
