EBURY BRIDGE

Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, in connection with the introduction of the West Pimlico traffic calming scheme. The general effect of the Orders would be to: (a) prohibit all vehicles, except buses, from proceeding at any time in the central bus lane to be created on Ebury Bridge (from its junction with Warwick Way north-westward for approximately 60 metres); (b) provide that one-way working would be imposed in the north-western part of the bus lane (for south-eastbound buses only); (c) impose width restrictions at a point on either side of the central bus lane to prevent vehicles exceeding 6 feet and 6 inches in width from proceeding in the south-eastbound and north-westbound carriageways of Ebury Bridge; (d) remove certain residents’ and metered parking places from Ebury Bridge. ( Note. Traffic signals and island sites would be installed to control the traffic movements described in paragraphs (a) to (c) above.) The Orders, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Parkman Ltd., Third Floor, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders. Any objections or other representations about either of the proposed Orders should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, Parkman Ltd., Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, quoting Ref. 22498/WES1565/ORD/2466, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
