Take notice that the Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes (“the Council”), which is the Local Highway Authority for the purposes of the Highways Act 1980 (“the Act”) for the area in which the highway at Oakhill Road, Medbourne, Milton Keynes is situated, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Milton Keynes on 9th February 2001, at 10.30 a.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Act (“the Order”), authorising the Council to stop up that length of the highway shown hatched from A to B on the plan to which the Order relates (“the Plan”) and described in the Schedule hereto on the grounds that it is unnecessary, subject to the reservations of bridleway rights. A copy of the Plan showing the length of the highway to be stopped-up can be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the Council at the Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes MK9 3HN, (Ref. Schedule Description of length of the highway to be stopped up The length of Oakhill Road at Medbourne, Milton Keynes to be stopped up extends from a point (A on the Plan) approximately 50 metres north-east of City Road V2 Tattenhoe Street for a distance of approximately 540 metres in a generally north-easterly direction to a point (B on the Plan) approximately 30 metres south-west of City Road V3 Fulmer Street.
