PROPOSED STOPPING-UP OF LOWER VIADUCT STREET (PART), HUDDERSFIELD

Notice is hereby given that the Kirklees Metropolitan Council, being the Highway Authority for the highway hereinafter mentioned, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court, sitting at the Law Courts, Civic Centre, Huddersfield, on Wednesday, 7th February 2001, at 9.45 a.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the said Council to stop up for the purposes of all traffic, on the ground that it is unnecessary, the following length of highway, namely an irregular shaped length of Lower Viaduct Street at Huddersfield, from Bradford Road for 25.5 metres in a north-easterly direction, excluding the footway on the north-western side, more particularly delineated on the plan which has been deposited and which may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at Reception, Ground Floor, Highways Service, Flint Street, Fartown, Huddersfield; and Reception, Legal Services, 2nd Floor, Civic Centre III, High Street, Huddersfield.
