NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that De Vere Hotels & Leisure Ltd, of Wilderspool House, Greenalls Avenue, Warrington WA4 6RH, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Moxhull Brook at National Grid Reference SP 1801 9564, at 6th Brabazon Offline Lake, The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield B76 9PR. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 200 cubic metres per hour, 2,500 cubic metres per day, 143,415 cubic metres per year, between 1st November and 31st March each year. The water will be used for transfer to storage lakes on site for subsequent reuse for spray irrigation. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield B76 9PR, between 15th December 2000 and 29th December 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Sentinel House, 9 Wellington Crescent, Fradley Park, Lichfield WS13 8RR, before the end of the said period.
