NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

Three months advance notice is hereby given that Kirklees Metropolitan Council, Highways Service, intends to carry out substantial road works. 2. The streets in which these works will take place are: Crawley Lane, Heckmondwike. 3. Work is expected to effect the carriageway/footway between from junction of High Street to a point 90 metres from junction with High Street in a south-easterly direction. 4. Work is expected to commence on 13th November 2000 (works should begin within one month of this date). 5. The works notified will include the following: rekerb and reconstruct exising footways. Overlay existing carriageway with new surfacing materials. 6. Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from completion of works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
