HAMPSTEAD CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE REVIEW

Notice is hereby given, that the Council of the London Borough of Camden propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to, the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be: South End Road, east side, opposite Keats Grove, proposal to convert existing 65 metres of residents bay to shared-use resident/pay and display bay. South End Road, west side, remove two sections (15 and 7 metres in length) of existing pay and display bays and convert to loading spaces. Christchurch Hill/Cannon Place, proposal to convert double yellow line to single yellow line for 10 metres south-eastward from the existing residents bay outside the rear of the school. Proposal to convert disabled bay to residents bay on the south-east side of Cannon Place just outside the Christchurch. Well Road, extension of residents parking bay, north-west side. Proposal to extend existing Residents bay by 7.2 metres south-eastwards, proposed gap of 3 metres just outside the entrances to the Well Mount Cottages will guarantee access to the properties. Proposal to extend existing residents bay by 4 metres north-eastwards from the exisitng bay situated outside No. 2 Well Road. The proposal would provide 2 extra residents’ bays. Lower Terrace, proposal to convert 40 metres of double yellow line to single yellow line from a point 6 metres north of the junction with Upper Terrace opposite the existing residents bay. Lower Terrace/Hampstead Grove, proposal to convert 8 metres of double yellow line to single yellow line on the north-west side, between the two existing residents bays at north end of Lower Terrace opposite the Observatory. Proposal to convert 10 metres of double yellow line to single yellow line at the end of Hampstead Grove near the junction with Lower Terrace at the end of the existing residents parking bay on the east side of Hampstead Grove. Cannon Lane, proposal to convert 10 metres of double yellow line to single yellow line on the south side, between the two existing residents parking bays just outside No. 5 and No. 3 Cannon Lane. Proposal to convert 5 metres of double yellow line to a residents bay westwards, from the existing resident bay on the south-east side of Cannon Lane outside No. 1. Frognal Rise, proposal to shorten existing residents bays and replace by double yellow line. New End Square, proposal to convert 2x2 metres of double yellow line to residents bays. One westwards, from the existing residents bay on the south side of New End Square 1.9 metres west from the boundary of Nos. 26-28 and second southwards from the existing residents bay on the western side of New End Square. Well Walk, proposal to convert pay and display bays to residents bays on the north-west and south-east side of Well Walk. Willoughby Road, proposal to convert 10 metres of double yellow line to single yellow line on the north-western side of Willoughby Road, outside Willoughby Hall School. A copy of the proposed Orders, plans showing the location and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders, may be inspected, during normal office hours on Monday to Friday inclusive, at the Environment Department Reception, Fifth Floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ. Any person wishing to object or make other representations to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and specify the grounds thereof and address it to the Director of Environment Department, Engineering and Traffic Service, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ, to reach us by 14th September 2000, within a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
