NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Westlakes Properties Ltd. of Ingwell Hall, Westlakes Science and Technology Park, Moor Row, Cumbria CA24 3JZ, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from spring/ground water, fed land drainage system at National Grid References NX 9953 1502 and NX 9978 1479 at Westlakes Science and Technology Park, Moor Row. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 10.8 cubic metres per hour, 36 cubic metres per day, 1,670 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for maintaining water levels during periods of dry weather in two ponds, forming part of the park’s landscaping scheme. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at the office of W. S. Atkins, Wastwater Pavillion, Ingwell Hall, Westlakes Science and Technology Park, Moor Row, Cumbria CA24 3JZ, between 30th August 2000 and 30th September 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Ghyll Mount, Gillan Way, Penrith 40 Business Park, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 9BP, before the end of the said period.
