NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Sport and Leisure Fisheries Ltd, of High Farm, Kemberton, Shifnal, Shropshire TF11 9LL, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the River Corve at National Grid Reference SO 5678 9170, at York Farm, Stanton Long, Bridgnorth, Shropshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 31 cubic metres per hour, 250 cubic metres per day during July, August, September; 62 cubic metres per hour, 500 cubic metres per day during April, May, June; 125 cubic metres per hour, 1,000 cubic metres per day from October to March. The maximum total will be 100,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for filling and topping up fish pools. A copy of any application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable times at The Glebe Farm, Stanton Long, between 23rd August 2000 and 23rd September 2000. Any persons wishing to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shrewsbury SY8 3BB, before the end of the said period.
