NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF PROPOSALS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
SUTTON UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The London Borough of Sutton has prepared proposals for the replacement of the above Plan. Initial Deposit regarding the proposals was carried out during May and June 1999. However, the Council is giving notice that it will now consider objections and representations in respect of those policies and proposals which have been identified as existing policies carried forward from the adopted plan. The Council considers that no circumstances have changed since the existing policies were adopted. If and when these proposals are adopted they will form the development plan for the area of Sutton. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area. Copies of the Plan are also available for inspection at the Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey SM1 1EA, and Planning and Environmental Services, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, Surrey SM5 2JG (Mondays to Fridays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.). Objections to, and representations in respect of, the policies which have been identified as existing policies carried forward from the existing Plan, should be sent in writing to the Executive Head of Planning and Transportation, Environment and Leisure Group, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, Surrey SM5 2JG, before 5 p.m. on 2nd October 2000. Those who have already objected to existing policies need not re-submit those objections as they will be considered by the Council and Inspector. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the 6 week period ending on 2nd October 2000 will have a right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or hearing.
