NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

Three months advance notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Tower Hamlets intends to carry out substantial road works. 2. The street in which the works will take place is Manchester Road, London E.14. 3. Work is expected to effect the area of carriageway from its junction with Marsh Wall to the continuation with East Ferry Road. 4. The work is expected to commence on 2nd October 2000. 5(a) The area of work will be defined as that area of Manchester Road, from kerb-line to kerb-line along its entire length from its junction with Marsh Wall to the continuation of East Ferry Road. (b) The works notified will include the plane off and the resurfacing of the carriageway surface and in addition relaying anti-skid treatments and surface dressing where applicable. 6. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from completion of the works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
