THE WALTHAM FOREST (BUS STOP CLEARWAY) (NO. ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200
PROSPECT HILL, LONDON E.17
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (hereinfter
referred to as “the Council”) propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections
6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
The general effect of the Waiting and loading Restriction Amendment Order would be
to further amend the Waltham Forest (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977,
so that waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting
goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be prohibited at any time in the lengths
of Prospect Hill, London E.17 specified in Schedule 1 to this notice. (Any existing
waiting restrictions operative between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays
inclusive, on the south-east side of Prospect Hill near the junction of Church Hill
and lying within the boundary of the Walthamstow Market East Controlled Parking Zone
would be revoked).
The general effect of the Bus Stop Clearway Order would be to designate bus stop
clearways in the lengths of Prospect Hill, London E.17 specified in Schedule 2 to
this notice where all vehicles (except buses) would be prohibited from stopping at
any time.
A copy of each of the proposed Orders, of the above-mentioned Order of 1977 (and
of the Orders which have amended that Order, where applicable), of the Council’s statement
of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and a plan showing the locations and effects
of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive,
until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, or as the case
may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, at:
(a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, London E.17; and
(b) The Reception Desk, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford, London E.4.;
and
(c) The First Stop Office, Leyton Municipal Offices, High Road, Leyton, London E.10.
Any persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders, or make other representations
should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, or
of their representation to the undersigned at the address given below, quoting the
Ref. ES/HIU/GV/TOM/393, by 7th September 2000.

Prospect Hill, London E.17:
(a) the north-west side:
(i) between a point 4.5 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 2
The Lindens, Prospect Hill and a point 4 metres north-east of a point opposite the
north-easternmost wall of Nos. 1 to 37 Nash House, Prospect Hill;
(ii) between a point 6 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of the unnamed
access road leading to Nos. 1 to 18 Newton House, Prospect Hill and Nos. 1 to 18 Prospect
House, Prospect Hill and a point 5.5 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line
of that unnamed access road;
(b) the south-east side
(i) between its junction with Church Hill and a point 9.5 metres north-east of a
point opposite the south-westernmost wall of No. 115 Church Hill;
(ii) between a point 2 metres north-east of a point opposite the south-westernmost
wall of Nos. 1 to 28 Crosbie House, Prospect Hill and a point 20 metres north-east
of that point;
(iii) between a point 41 metres north-east of a point opposite the south-westernmost
wall of Nos. 1 to 28 Crosbie House, Prospect Hill and the western kerb-line of Shernhall
Street.
( Note: part of the waiting restrictions referred to in paragraph (b) (i) above lie within
the boundary of the Walthamstow Market East Controlled Parking Zone.)

( Bus Stop Clearways—No stopping at any time )
Prospect Hill, London E.17:
(a) the north-west side:
(i) between a point 4.5 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 2

(ii) from a point 4 metres north-east of a point opposite the north-easternmost wall
of Nos. 1 to 37 Nash House, Prospect Hill north-eastward for a distance of 19 metres;
(b) the south-east side:
(i) from a point 9.5 metres north-east of a point opposite the south-westernmost
wall of No. 115 Church Hill north-eastward for a distance of 19 metres;
(ii) from a point 22 metres north-east of a point opposite the north-easternmost
wall of Nos. 1 to 28 Crosbie House, Prospect Hill north-eastward for a distance of
19 metres.
