HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116

NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP PART OF ABBEY LANE DELL, BEAUCHIEF

Notice is hereby given that the Sheffield City Council being the Highway Authority for the said City intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Castle Street, Sheffield, on 19th September 2000, at 11 a.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that the area of highway described in the Schedule below be authorised to be stopped up on the ground that it is unnecessary. The effect of the Order is shown on the Plan which may be inspected, free of charge, at the First Stop Reception, Legal and Administrative Services, Town Hall, Pinstone Street, Sheffield S1 2HH, at all reasonable hours. Telephone enquiries can be made by ringing 273 4034 (Ref. LOA/SH.) On the hearing of the application any person who is interested in land abutting on or served by the said area of highway or uses the said area of highway or is otherwise aggrieved shall have a right to be heard. Schedule An irregular shaped area of the northern verge of Abbey Lane Dell, adjoining No. 1 Abbey Lane Dell. M. Webster, City Solicitor, Town Hall, Sheffield S1 2HH 14th August 2000.
