STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY AT PARKSIDE ROAD, KENDAL

Take notice that Cumbria County Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court for the Petty Sessional Division of Kendal Sitting at the Magistrates’ Court, Burneside Road, Kendal, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, 19th September 2000, for an Order, under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the County Council to stop up that length of highway described in the Schedule hereto on the grounds that it is unnecessary. A plan showing the length of highway to be stopped up may be inspected at the offices of the Council’s Department of Highways and Engineering, County Offices, Kendal and at the offices of the undersigned during normal working hours. At the hearing of this application, any person who uses the highways or any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for, shall have a right to be heard. J. F. Schedule Description of Length of Highway to be Stopped up A length of highway verge some 25 metres long by 1.5 metres wide at its eastern end tapering to 0.5 metres wide at its western end on the southern side adjoining the properties known as numbers 1, 2 and 3 Archers Meadow, Kendal (fronting Parkside Road, Kendal). 11th August 2000.
