NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Dales Water Services Ltd, Witherick Lane, Melmerby, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 5JB, on behalf of J. E. Weatherill and P. E. Weatherill, High Dalby House, Thornton-le-Dale, Pickering, North Yorkshire YO18 7LP, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 2/27/28/158 to abstract water from a borehole in the chalk at National Grid Reference SE 845 552, at High College Farm, Millington, in the parish of Millington, within the unitary authority of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The variation being applied for is to increase the quantities authorised to be abstracted from 1.5 cubic metres per hour, 9 cubic metres per day, 682 cubic metres per year, to 1.5 cubic metres per hour, 17 cubic metres per day, 6,205 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for a private water undertaking. A copy of this application and map, plans or any other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at High College Farm, Millington, York, between 10th August 2000 and 10th September 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North East Region, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, before the end of a said period.
