THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (A631 BAWTRY ROAD IMPROVEMENT—M18 TO DENBY WAY) (CLASSIFIED ROAD) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2000

The Rotherham Borough Council hereby gives notice that they have made, and submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions for confirmation, an Order under Section 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980. For authorising the Council: (a) to carry out improvements to that part of Denby Way 21 metres northwards from the northern boundary of the A631 Bawtry Road; (b) to carry out improvements to that part of Clifford Road 16 metres southwards from the southern boundary of the A631 Bawtry Road; (c) to stop up that length of Denby Way from its junction with the A631 Bawtry Road northwards for a distance of 25 metres; (d) to stop up that length of Long Close from its junction with the A631 Bawtry Road, northwards for a distance of 9 metres; (e) to construct additional highway to form part of the A631 Bawtry Road from its intersection with the M18 at Junction 1 to a point 210 metres east of its junction with Denby Way (and to take the place of that part of the private access to Long Close and that part of Denby Way to be stopped up as referred to in (c) and (d) above); Copies of the order and of the relevant plan may be inspected from 7th July 2000, free of charge, at all reasonable hours via the Head of Legal Services, Personnel and Industrial Relations, Civic Building, Walker Place, Rotherham, (Ref. EH) on weekdays and at the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD. Any person may, not later than 2nd October 2000, object to the confirmation of the Order by writing to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, at the above address, stating the grounds for objection.
