NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP UP THE SECTION OF HIGHWAY KNOWN AS MALVERN TERRACE, LONDON N.1
Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Islington acting by the Council of the Borough (hereinafter called “the Council”) being the Highway Authority in respect of the road hereinafter mentioned and, as such, the appropriate authority within the meaning of section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, hereby gives notice that on Tuesday, 12th September 2000, at 10 a.m., the said Council intends, pursuant to the said section, to make an application to the Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court sitting at 51 Holloway Road, London N.7, for an Order to authorise the stopping-up of part of the highway known as Malvern Terrace, London N.1., in the said Borough, on the grounds that it is unnecessary as a public highway. A plan showing the highway to be closed may be inspected, free of charge, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays (excluding Saturdays) in the Legal Department, Town Hall, Upper Street, London N1 2UD. Please quote Ref. LE/C/HGF. On the hearing of the said application, any person to whom notice is given, any person who uses the said highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order of which application is being made shall have the right to be heard.
