ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE BOROUGH OF TAMWORTH (GLASCOTE HEATH 20 MPH ZONE PHASE ONE) ORDER 2000

Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Tamworth, pursuant to arrangements made under section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with the County Council of Stafford in exercise of powers conferred on that County Council under section 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, hereby makes the following Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicles travelling at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in the roads detailed in the Schedule to this notice. A copy of the Order which becomes effective on 7th August 2000, together with a plan showing the affected roads and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be examined at Marmion House, Lichfield Street, Tamworth, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement thereof or any Instrument made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of this notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
