HIGHWAY UC32135, GREEN LANE, BEOLEY-REDDITCH, WORCESTERSHIRE

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order, under section 247 of the above Act, to authorise the stopping-up and diversion of a length of highway UC32135, Green Lane, Beoley-Redditch, Worcestershire. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Redditch Borough Council on 22nd July 1999, under Ref. 98/470. The proposed Order will require the provision of a new route for the highway which will also be referred to as UC32135 and will be maintainable at the public expense for which Worcestershire County Council will be the local highway authority. The proposed Order will provide that the stopping-up must not be carried out until the developer has provided the new route for the highway and that highway shall be maintainable at the public expense for which Worcestershire County Council will be the local highway authority. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected, at all reasonable hours, during 28 days commencing on 2nd August 2000, at the offices of Redditch Borough Council, Town Hall, Alcester Street, Redditch, Worcestershire B98 8AH, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for the West Midlands (quoting Ref. 5058/35/1/45) at the address stated below. Any person may object to the making of the proposed Order within the period of 28 days commencing on 2nd August 2000, by notice to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, quoting the above reference, at the Government Office for the West Midlands, Local Government Division, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT.
