THE BROMLEY (FREE PARKING PLACES) (TIME RESTRICTED) ORDER 1997 (AMENDMENT NO. 13) ORDER 2000
MAIN ROAD, BIGGIN HILL

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley hereinafter called “the Council” proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of, and Part I of Schedule 5 to, the Local Government Act 1985 and sections 64 to 81 inclusive and Schedules 6 and 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce short-term parking bays between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays with a maximum stay 30 minutes as follows: On the odd numbered side of Main Road: 1 bay outside No. 205; 1 bay outside No. 209 and 1 bay outside No. 211. On the even numbered side of Main Road: 2 bays outside No. 136 on one side of the bus stop and 2 bays on the other side of the bus stop, outside Nos. 146-148. The prohibitions and exemptions referred to above would not apply in relation to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or to vehicles of the emergency services. Details of other prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Order of 1997. A copy of the proposed Order, of the Order being amended (and of the Orders which have amended that Order) of the plan of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays, at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environmental Services, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 2UH, quoting Ref. ADE(TP)/CC/T100/316, not later than 23rd August 2000. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this notice may be open to public inspection.
