NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Lafarge Redland Aggregates Limited of Bradgate House, Groby, Leicester is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 7/34/12/G/116 which authorises the abstraction of water from a borehole in underground strata being Upper Chalk at TG 156 111, at Costessey Readymix Plant, Costessey, Norwich. The application is to vary the licence so as to allow abstraction of water from an alternative borehole at NGR TG 158 112 and to increase the volume of water to be abstracted from 5,000 cubic metres per year to 8,000 cubic metres per year. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Site Office, Costessey Readymix Plant, Longwater Business Park, Dereham Road, Costessey, Norwich, between 28th July 2000 and 26th August 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
