APPOINTING MONDAY, 1ST JANUARY 2001 AND MONDAY, 7TH MAY 2001 AS BANK HOLIDAYS IN ENGLAND, WALES AND NORTHERN IRELAND

ELIZABETH R. Whereas We consider it desirable that Monday, the first day of January and Monday, the seventh day of May in the year 2001 should be bank holidays in England, Wales and Northern Ireland: Now, therefore, We, in pursuance of section 1(3) of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, do hereby appoint Monday, the first day of January and Monday, the seventh day of May in the year 2001, to be bank holidays in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Given at Our Court at Buckingham Palace this fourteenth day of June in the year of our Lord two thousand and in the forty-ninth year of Our Reign. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
