NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Hydes Brewery, of 46 Moss Lane West, Manchester, is applying to the
Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from two bore holes between National
Grid Reference SJ 953 696 and SJ 9526 6962 at The Hanging Gate Inn, Higher Sutton,
Macclesfield.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 2.7 cubic metres per hour,
6.82 cubic metres per day, 2,400 cubic metres (per year), (between 1st January and
31st December each year). The water will be used for drinking, cooking, sanitary and
washing purposes.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted wih it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Hanging Gate Inn,
between 22nd March 2000 and 22nd April 2000.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Appleton House, 430 Birchwood Boulevard, Birchwood,
Warrington, before the end of the said period.
