NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Nicklin Brothers, of Showell Mill Farm, Sambrook, Newport, Shropshire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole into sandstone at National Grid Ref. SJ 7207 2428, at Showell Millfarm in the district of Chetwynd, Shropshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 45 cubic metres per hour, 1,080 cubic metres per day, 395,000 cubic metres (per year). The water will be used for use in the fish farm. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Showell Mill Farm, Newport, Shropshire, between 28th January 2000 and 4th March 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury, before the end of the said period.
