ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE BOROUGH OF TAMWORTH (DOSTHILL)(7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 1999

Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Tamworth pursuant to arrangements made under section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972, with the County Council of Stafford in accordance with sections 1(1), 2(1), (2) (4) and 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, propose to make an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle whose maximum gross weight exceeds 7.5 tonne from proceeding on the roads detailed in the Schedule to this notice. A copy of the draft Order together with a plan showing the affected lengths of roads and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be examined at Marmion House, Lichfield Street, Tamworth between 9. a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
