WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991, SCHEDULE 10 AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995
NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Severn Trent Water Limited, for consent to discharge at a rate of up to 1,296 cubic metres per day at up to 15 litres per second of trade effluent to the Stratford Brook, at National Grid Reference SO 7763 9598, from Hilton Boreholes Enhanced Water Treatment, Stratford Lane, Worfield, Bridgnorth. The application has been made in order that the water treatment plant can meet the requirements of the new Potable Water Quality Regulations. The enhanced water treatment process will include the use of granular Ferric hydroxide as a filter media. The trade effluent to be discharged will consist of the resultant process water from the plant which will have received settlement treatment before being discharged. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Water Quality Consents Officer at the Agency’s offices at Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury SY3 8BB, during the period 13th October 1999, to 24th November 1999, quoting ref. CP/US/90884.
