NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Skelton Nurseries of Toll Bar House, Shipton Road, Skelton, York YO30 1XW, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the Sherwood Sandstone at National Grid Reference SE 5670 5605 in the parish of Skelton within the Unitary Authority of York. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 14 cubic metres per hour, 70 cubic metres per day and 10,500 cubic metres between April and October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of nursery plants. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the above address between 6th October 1999 and 6th November 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Dales Area, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, before the end of said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
