NOTICE OF PROPOSALS FOR VARYING A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Notice is hereby given that the Environment Agency, in pursuance of section 52 of the Water Resources Act 1991, have formulated proposals for varying the licences serial numbers 11/42/1/2, 11/42/1/5, 11/42/1/6 and 11/42/1/8 to abstract water from the River Walkford Brook and Barton Sands at Walkford Farm, Chewton Glen Hotel, Fawcett’s Field (Christchurch Road) and Double H Nursery (Gore Road) in New Milton, Hampshire, grid references SZ 225951, SZ 232942, SZ 224940 and SZ 228947/228944 respectively. The variation is to reduce the specified flow in the Walkford Brook at or below which the abstraction must cease, from 30 litres/second (32 for licence number 11/42/1/5) to 25 litres/second. A copy of the proposals and of any map, plan or other document prepared in connection with them may be inspected, free of charge, at the Public Library, Cannon Street, Lymington, Hampshire, and Environment Agency, Colvedene Court, Wessex Business Park, Wessex Way, Colden Common, Winchester, Hampshire SO21 1WP, at all reasonable hours during the period beginning 3rd September 1999, and ending on 4th October 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the proposals should do so in writing to the Area Resources Manager, Environment Agency, Colvedene Court, Wessex Business Park, Wessex Way, Colden Common, Winchester, Hampshire SO21 1WP, before the end of the said period.
